Wieght Loss

So a few weeks ago my wife and I decided to start using our treadmill.  I'm walking 30 minutes a day almost everyday.   Eating better portions.   Honestly diets really turn me off to the idea of losing weight.  You have to maintain the weight you eventually get too and going back to the things you love to eat while on the diet just make it go right back on.  So far I down from 360lbs to 336.5lbs.   I have to use a USPS scale that is capable of weight items up to 400lbs.   When I get under the 300Lbs range I can use the standard scale. 

Still taking Tramadol and some type of muscle relaxers but they both seem to be working.  However ever morning I wake up in tons of pain. Been a problem for me in the last few months so I haven't been out to the flying field much.  

Road Trip

We headed out to California for a road trip yesterday before the summer ends and the kids go back to school.  We have passes to Legoland so it's a pretty cheap trip.   Lots of rain on the way here in the spots but we made great time at 5 hours.   We stopped to get gas along the way but apparently they were struck by lightning and the pumps were fried.  The ladies at the counter were really scattered since everyone seemed to be annoyed they couldn't get gas.  We just drove down the road a bit more. 
Nicole woke up briefly this morning to tell me she felt sick.  Not good. Another hour and I'm suppose to wake the kids up for Legoland.

Walmart oil change gone wrong

I know I know.  Support Walmart???  I just needed a frickin oil change.   What could go wrong.   Brought my car in during lunch.   35 minutes later I stopped by the shop and see the guy parking it in the parking lot.  He says nothing as he walks in.  (Short term memory he checked me in.)   So I told the guy at counter that's my car and the guy slides a form in front of me and says please sign this.   Apparently you have a tire that will fail if you drive it off the lot.  I said wow what's wrong with it?   He says he has no idea.   I said could I talk to the tech?   No he's moved on to other vehicles.   I said we'll if it's dangerous what do I do?   He says you could replace it.   I said I'm not replacing it until I see what's wrong with it.   The manager says I'll need to wait 45 minutes for them to put it back on the rack.   I mention they might of paged me to come look at it.  He said they  looked for me.   :)  I doubt that since when I walked up they didn't even realize it was my car.    I said could I speak to a manager?   He says sure.  The manager proceeds to tell me it Walmarts policy to protect them from some recent law suits.   I mention how they could of handled it and he agrees but insists I sign this form.   I sign it and go out and look at the tire.   Look and feels fine to me.   I call Discount and they check and since I have the free replacement warranty "no hassle"   they will take care of me.   Whoo hoo!

But I need a new place to get oil changes!

Beat the heat in Flagstaff

The Gilbert Quiet flyer's are starting to post the pictures from the trip to flagstaff.  Have to say I'm pretty disappointed I missed out.   But it couldn't be helped.   Looks like people are starting to look to me for more technical support again.   Guy dropped off his computer and it had no virus scanner installed.  Opps.  Rootkit for sure.   Ran Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, and Combofix.   Finally got it running ok.  Updated it and gave it back.   That silly fake proxy thing was clicked on but thats the easy enough to fix.

Looks like I'll have Thursday and Friday off this week to head to California before summer ends for the kids.  One last trip to Legoland.  Yeah.  These trips always seem to cost a bundle.   Lots to do before we leave.  

No flying again this weekend.  Very sad.   I need to bring my Parkzone cub out to the field for someone to trim out.  It hasn't been in the air for over a year.  

Back to work

I'm starting the week pretty positive.   My wife and I decided to start the using out treadmill 30 minutes a day.   So far I feel pretty good about it.   I hope that losing the weight might help alleviate the pain in my neck and help with my sleep Apnea also. 

Beat the heat in Flagstaff

Missed out on a big RC event this weekend in Flagstaff.   Too many things to do and no money to make the run up to Flagstaff.  The good news is I got motivated to start on some things I've been putting off for a while.  Cleaning the back yard and the garage.   Fun.


I'm deciding whether to continue building the GWS corsair since I used the wrong glue and it eat the rudder pretty bad.  I'm using the woodland scenics foam stuff to repair it but I'm starting to think this kit will just end up in the trash.  I have the motor and ever thing for it.  Maybe I need to move it to something else.

I thought about logging some comments about my pain levels since my cervical neck fusion last year in January. So here it is.

Another odd week of pain. A couple of weeks ago I was taking all my meds three times a day. Very difficult to function those couple of weeks. Now I'm not taking meds until the late afternoon.

I seem to have my good weeks and my bad weeks. I'm starting to think it has something to do with stress or maybe a diet thing.
